Crypto Tax Management and Payment Innovative Tool
A new solution for web and mobile cryptocurrency tax calculations. With this tool the workflow is 30% faster, with tax reporting in just 20 minutes. More than 20 governments have already accepted the generated reports. The platform ships with multilingual support across five languages on mobile and web.
Goal
Our customer wanted to get solutions for this project that are aimed to:
- • Increase the speed of reports production (decrease the time and actions before sending this report to the tax agencies).
- • Have the ability to import transactions from multiple data sources (crypto wallets, exchanges, etc.). In addition, it must work with margin/futures, DeFi's, and stacking platforms.
- • Create the platform, accessible from any device (desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and multilinguistic (English, German, French, Swedish, etc.).
Challenges
Creating a complex project meantime following prior goals our team encountered several difficulties to overcome. Our main challenges that were resolved to foster the project:
- • Secure login: as the platform is connected with finances, it was a time-consuming process of providing high-level security for mobile & web login with lots of captchas, password encryption, etc.
- • Development & maintenance of three apps simultaneously: landing, web, and mobile.
- • In-app updates for mobile app: without leaving it to the Google Play store or App Store.
- • App translation for many languages & data import for each platform, including mobile apps.
- • Unify user experience from multiple platforms, practices, etc.
Solution
How we built it.
The team created an innovative mobile project from scratch containing all web-version features — graphs, filters, transaction import and more. As a time-efficient mobile app, it provides diverse documentation (including form 8949 and transaction history). The platform is oriented towards crypto integrations and the ability to add new wallets, combining high-level security with in-app updates and internationalization.

Dashboard
On the first screen below the graph there is a list of user's holdings. It contains such info as balance, cost, market value and ROI. On the second screen a user can see a total value and cost of all his crypto holdings displayed on the graph.

Transactions
The first screen shows a list of user's transactions which can be filtered and sorted by multiple different parameters. On the second screen there is also a detailed screen where the full info about each transaction is displayed.

Markets
The first screen shows current market prices for various crypto currencies. The second one is also a detailed screen for every currency with a graph.

Tax Reports
On this screen a user can see his gains (or losses) for the chosen year and download a tax report.
